It was not until the 26th of April 2007 that Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank introduced the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act that would provide a provision from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network Director concerning the releasing of licenses for online gambling facilities. This will be the foundation of a very solid law governing online poker tournaments. The different laws that established more such law include the Internet Gambling Study Act, the Skill Game Protection Act, and the Internet Gambling Tax Act.
